One of my lifelong friends, Jocelyn lives in the Philippines. Through her eyes I see such beauty in that part of the world. In a good way, it makes me long for the Far East.
Recently, she visited Ranger’s Island at Tabbataha Reef, which is a protected area located in the middle of the Sulu Sea. Tabbataha Reefs National Park is a World Heritage Site, and part of the Coral Triangle, which houses 75% of the coral species and 40% of the world’s reef fish. It’s stunningly beautiful.
And from a sliver of land along the beach, she witnessed this sunset. I can only imagine what it must have been like in person.
So I had to paint it.
And so I did.
