Hi. My Name is Taylor. I will be NINE.

Hi.
My name is Taylor.

You’d never know it by the way I act, but I am almost nine years old.

I’ve got a ton of energy and I love to play.

Maybe it’s because, I rest a lot during the day while my papa is bringing home the bacon. Don’t tell anyone, he doesn’t bring back bacon that often. I would know. I can smell bacon from a mile away. Each morning when he leaves, he tells me “Goodbye Tay! Gotta bring home th bacon!” I don’t have the heart to tell him that each day he fails. I love bacon.

Many mornings, we will go on a walk through Sherwood Forest. I have yet to meet Robin Hood, but I see deer all the time.

When he’s gone, I find all sorts of things to do.

I have lots of toys. I have bones that I love to gnaw on. My papa sometimes stuff toys with treats. It doesn’t take me long to get to the treat. My papa thinks he is smart and that it will take me a long while, but it never does. I am smarter than my papa, but don’t tell him that.

I sit and lay down on my balcony a lot. And I do mean a lot. I like to keep watch over the bay, making sure everyone is safe. But since we live in Sausalito where everything is beautiful and everyone is safe, I usually don’t say anything. Mostly, I lie down. When the sun beats down (which is a lot), I work on my tan. I love vitamin D; bet you didn’t know that I know about vitamin D. I’m really smart.

Mostly, I sleep. I believe in beauty rests.

And then when my papa comes back with no bacon, I jump up and down with joy (ignoring the fact he has no bacon). I really love my dad, and I take every opportunity to tell him so.
