I’ve logged well over a thousand hours just sitting on my balcony, watching the world go by while Taylor and I dig deeper into our thoughts, a whole new world in and of itself. I still haven’t figured out what’s in his head, but mine surely races around the sun. Every once in a while, while I sit here, a hummingbird hums by. And every single time, I try to take a snap if I have a phone or camera nearby, but almost as if it knows I am the paparazzi, it quickly flutters away. So I wonder, will I ever catch the hummingbird?
“Remember to remember me
Standing still in your past
Floating fast like a hummingbird
His goal in life was to be an echo
The type of sound that floats around
And then back down like a feather”
— Wilco “Hummingbird”
Finally after all this time, this morning, I caught a hummingbird, if only for a brief few seconds.
I am now ready for the next chapter in my life.
How excited am I??
