I wrote and gave this to a friend of mine some time ago…
When a friend’s in need,
I am a friend indeed.
How do I know?
A friend told me so.
I like to think of myself as that kind of friend described above, and moreso.
Of course, that always reminds me of this song that I love “You’re a Friend of Mine” sung by one of Bruce Springsteen’s best friends, his saxophonist Clarence Clemons “The Big Man” and songwriter/singer Jackson Browne. Ah the 80’s!
You’re a friend of mine… bro-love… sis-love… good times… bad times… travels and adventures… close-talking… live and love…
Massive 80s VHS camcorders… suspenders… flat-top haircuts and mop tops… pleated pants… black pants and white shoes… Ah, the 80’s! But I digress, “you’re a friend of mine”…
Years may come and go
Here’s one thing I know
All my life
You’re a friend of mine
What if mountains fall?
Nothin’ left at all
I’ll be fine
‘Cause you’re a friend of mine
I love my friends. I love my family, many of whom are good friends of mine… I painted the piece below to signify the love between friends… to celebrate our similarities and embrace our differences and in the end, we’re not altogether that different from each other. All we need is LOVE.

Then there’s this guy…
Go Adventure. Go Travel. Go Live.
