Our new normal means we don’t spend much weekdays together, but that doesn’t change the fact that our early mornings and late evenings are playing catch. “Fetch” as Taylor likes to call it. I marvel at how much “puppy” comes out when we’re playing. Even at ten years of age, he can still bring it. Much like my hikes where I’m climbing hills, he feels it once we get home. And like the old men we are, we nurse ourselves to health laying down counting the stars.
