I’m staring at Alcatraz challenging it to stare back, while the moon stares at the back of my head. It’s 5:54 AM on a brisk 48 degree Saturday morning. I’d fallen asleep by 10:00 PM, a far cry from my younger days of starting my night at that time. At 3:30 AM, I was awake and by 4:47 AM, I decided that I wanted to accompany Alcatraz and Fort Mason while they watched the sunrise. Continue reading A Morning with the Rock
ld have noticed the storm clouds threatening the past hour. What it didn’t know was that I love the rain, the bigger the storm, the better, and in many ways, more romantic. I was alone on this particular afternoon. At the last minute, I decided that I wanted to pick up the Spring shipment of my wine from Silverado. That’s what can happen on any given Sunday in the Bay. He was a sight for sure. Continue reading Golden Gate, C’mon Man!

2019 was a truly epic year. One year ago today, Grace & I were engaged. Since that seminal moment, this past year has seen its share of ups and downs, the highest of the highs most certainly high and the lowest of the low tragically low. Through it all, my constant has been Grace and our dog Taylor. This is what the last year, and the years leading up to it looked like… Continue reading New Years 2020
