Time Goes By: Being Present in the Moment

Depending upon perspective, time can either be our best friend or time can be our worst enemy. Either way, time waits for no (wo)man. Knowing that, I’ve made it a point to take advantage of every moment that time does afford me. And for many reasons, I feel that I am living on borrowed time anyways, every day since 12/22/08 an unexpected and welcome gift from God and time.

So it is that I’ve also found to truly enjoy the moment is to be present in the moment, no matter what you are doing, when you are doing it, why you are doing it, or who you are doing it with. When I am with someone, I put all of myself into that time I am with them, and for those moments no matter how short or how long, they are at the center of my universe.

I can truly say that whatever it is that I am doing at that moment is because I want to. That concept is liberating.

I chose to.
I choose to.
I choose to be with you.
I choose to be doing this or doing that with you.

I am present.
I am present with you.
This moment is the present I give to you.
This moment is the present you have given to me.

This moment in time is a great way to live.
