There’s something magical about sunrises and sunsets.
I’ve always loved them.
But I love them even more since moving to Sausalito.
Sunrises and sunsets in the Bay Area could be the most magical of all creating a world of Zen.
With that in mind, and my best friend visiting for the week, we spent this week in search of Zen chasing sunrises and sunsets.
The last time we saw both a sunset and wake up early enough for a sunrise at a place of significance, we were halfway around the world in Agra, India to see the Taj Mahal.
It’s 7:27 AM and we are 2,571 feet sitting on rocks at the very top of Mount Tamalpais above cloud cover waiting for it to burn off for what hopes to be a magnificent sunrise. I believe patience will pay off. With gusts probably around 20 mph, it’s significantly colder this morning than the brisk evening yesterday.
