2015: Year in Review – SUNRISES, SUNSETS, and the MOONLIGHT

Many days and nights last year, I was witness to breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. In addition to the sun, I saw moons and super moons, and a special harvest moon which last year happened to be a blood moon. No matter which one I woke up to, or said goodbye to, no two of them were ever the same, which made waking up each day a truly magical moment. For someone who’s had a couple moments where a tomorrow was not promised, the sunrise each morning was the gift that kept on giving.

“How sweet the morning air is! See how that one little cloud floats like a pink feather from some gigantic flamingo. Now the red rim of the sun pushes itself over the London cloud-bank. It shines on a good many folk, but on none, I dare bet, who are on a stranger errand than you and I. How small we feel with our petty ambitions and strivings in the presence of the great elemental forces of Nature!” — Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Novels and Stories, Volume I)

“Today you are alive and here and honored and blessed with good fortune. Look at this sunset, it’s beautiful, neh? This sunset exists. Tomorrow does not exist. There is only now. Please look. It is so beautiful and it will never happen ever again, never, not this sunset, never in all infinity. Lose yourself in it, make yourself one with nature…” — James Clavell

Below is a collection of links to every post I wrote last year regarding a sunrise, a sunset, or a moonlight. Enjoy!
